Carmen Mensink
Teacher thangka painting
Carmen graduated as a graphic designer from the Art Academy in Kampen in 1995, after which she specialized in Letter Design & Typography at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague in 1996. A few years later, she became interested in painting thangkas (Tibetan scroll paintings). She immediately fell in love with this ancient and detailed art, and has been painting with joy and dedication ever since. For her, it is the perfect combination of practicing Buddhism and art. She studied for many years under the renowned thangka painter Andy Weber and teaches both in Europe and the United States.
